Bölüm 1008: Harika bir iş çıkardın

Oblivious to Ares cursing him and the countless people searching for him, Kyle sat leisurely at the summit of a towering green mountain, surrounded by a vast sea of soft, drifting clouds and wildflowers.

His back rested comfortably against a smooth stone outcrop, one leg stretched out while the other was slightly bent.

One of his hands was wrapped loosely around the waist of the beautiful woman in his arms, while the other moved lazily through her hair, occasionally catching a few soft strands before letting them slip through his fingers. His eyes remained closed, as though he had long since forgotten the world beyond the mountain.

For someone being searched for by many people, his expression looked remarkably unconcerned, content to simply sit in such a tranquil place with his wife in his arms.

Yue lay peacefully in his arms, quietly taking in everything he had told her. Her head rested against his chest, her body nestled comfortably against him. Long, honey-colored hair cascaded over her shoulders, its silky strands catching the light like threads of molten gold. A few loose locks framed her fair face, now unveiled, accentuating her snow-white skin and the graceful contours of her features.

Her amber eyes, encircled by darker rings around her pupils, held a quiet warmth as she idly played with the fingers of Kyle’s hand wrapped around her waist. Her long lashes cast faint shadows over her cheeks, while her delicate brows and softly curved lips gave her an almost ethereal elegance.

Finally, she let out a soft sigh.

"The Origin World... it’s such a powerful, ethereal place, yet it could easily become a graveyard for those who finally reach it."

Kyle’s calm eyes opened a fraction as he lowered his chin slightly, glancing down at her face. His deep voice resonated softly through the quiet surroundings.

"Hmm."

Yue didn’t mind his brief response. By now, she had noticed that he had become even less talkative than before, yet he would still answer whenever she asked something.

There was a certain calmness in his every movement now, as though nothing in the entire world could disturb him anymore.

Still... when she thought about the past week, her cheeks couldn’t help but flush.

Although they had spoken little, once they finally found a peaceful, quiet place away from everyone else, he had certainly made up for everything. After being apart for so long, neither of them had been willing to waste the precious time they finally had together.

Yue had missed him just as much, and once the two of them were finally alone, she was equally unwilling to be apart from him, openly returning his affection and refusing to let him out of her sight.

But now...

Thinking back on the past few days and how eagerly she had held onto him, she couldn’t help but lower her gaze bashfully. Even now, the mere memory was enough to make her face burn with embarrassment.

Kyle noticed her expression, a faint smile curling at the corners of his lips. From the corner of his eye, he glanced toward the house he had constructed with the power of natural laws after arriving here, then looked back at her with quiet amusement.

"Should we go back in?"

Yue tightened her grip on his hand.

"No!"

Realizing how quickly she had responded, she hurriedly tried to change the subject.

"I mean, we still haven’t finished talking about the Origin World! I want to hear more about that otherworldly place, and you still haven’t told me how much time you spent there after your awareness ascended."

Kyle let out a chuckle, his fingers slipping from her hair to brush against her flushed cheek. Her reaction to his teasing was just as cute and endearing as he had expected.

"I only suggested we go back so we could continue talking. What are you thinking?"

Yue immediately glared at him.

He was teasing her on purpose!

Kyle raised both hands in surrender, a helpless smile appearing on his face as he finally conceded and let the subject drop.

"Alright, alright. No need to look at me like that. We’ll talk about the Origin World. I’ll tell you everything you want to know, okay?"

She let out a faint scoff and continued playing with his fingers.

"Good."

Kyle rested his chin atop her head.

He had deliberately avoided telling her how long he had spent in the Origin World, not wanting to make her worry unnecessarily.

But if his wife truly wanted to know, he wouldn’t keep it from her.

After a brief silence, he finally spoke.

"I spent a very long time there... so long that I almost forgot who I was. About you. About everyone else waiting for me."

Sensing the faint guilt in his voice, Yue gently intertwined her fingers with his.

Her voice filled with heartache.

"It’s not your fault."

Kyle gazed into the distant sky.

"Hmm. That place was scary at first, even for me. It was filled with Celestial Symbols of all kinds and Natural Laws... and nothing else. At first, it was very hostile toward me, an intruder, and sought to erase me. But I fought back instinctively. For an extremely long time, I fought until I finally created a place of my own within that empty plane."

Yue turned toward him and wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly. Her voice was barely above a whisper.

"You did amazing... so amazing."

Kyle blinked at her words, momentarily caught off guard, before letting out a soft, amused laugh and patting her back.

"I’m fine."

She still shook her head, her arms tightening around him.

"But you weren’t back then. I wasn’t there. No one was. You were all alone. Thank you for coming back. Thank you for never admitting defeat. You did so well, my dear."

She moved back slightly and pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead.

"The power you have now... it’s everything you earned through those countless years. Every bit of it belongs to you. You fought for it, endured for it, and survived when there was no one beside you. You did great."

Kyle’s hand, which had been soothingly patting her back, suddenly paused.

He lowered his head to her shoulder.

In the end, his lips curled upward.

"Hmm, okay."

Yue wanted to continue, only to feel his wandering hands slip into her clothes, causing her to hit him softly in a fluster.

"You!"

Kyle raised his head and caught her hand.

He picked her up as he stood, despite her wide eyes, his voice deep and composed.

"I think we should really go back in."

It was only a month later that Amon finally saw his parents again, who had vanished to who knew where. And it was only because Jian had caused a commotion, threatening to jump from a territory if they didn’t show up. Naturally, Kyle, who could now sense everything across the Plane of Existence, had no choice but to appear, speechless.

The moment Kyle appeared, he was surrounded by countless familiar people.

Among them was Clan Leader Ares, who now had dark circles beneath his eyes.

Kyle narrowed his eyes at Ares.

"What’s wrong with you?"

Ares let out a bitter laugh.

"I don’t believe that you don’t know what’s wrong with me, heh! You showed up the moment Jian started being dramatic and calling your name, yet you didn’t show up when I was working myself to the bone!"
