Bölüm 534: 【Chengtou Toprağı】'nın Temel Gizemi!

Clang!

As Lü Yang’s words fell, the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva, whose soul alone remained and was still being burned by Heavenly Fire, could no longer suppress the injuries upon him.

The next second, a golden light emerged from his soul and transformed into a thick scripture, flipping open with a rustling sound. Dense Sanskrit characters appeared, each symbolizing a certain transformative image. Accompanied by joyful trembling tones, the scripture fell into Lü Yang’s hands.

It was none other than the Sun-Bearing Scroll.

Witnessing this, the soul of the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva nearly exploded with rage—this was his natal spiritual treasure! And now, it would not even spare him a glance.

What enraged him even more—

In the face of the willingly surrendering Sun-Bearing Scroll, Lü Yang was entirely indifferent. With one grasp, he refined it directly, reverting the treasure back into spiritual material.

This feeling was akin to his cherished wife, whom he held in his palms as if afraid she might melt, choosing to throw herself into another’s arms—only to be trampled and tormented, never returning to his side. Worse, he had no choice but to watch helplessly. Such thoughts nearly drove the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva mad.

Intolerable! Absolutely intolerable!

The Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva let out a hoarse roar, but as a mere soul, he could do little. He was already being held in Lü Yang’s dharma body, suspended within the five-fingered palm.

This scene was witnessed across all of Jiangxi.

The towering dharma body stood unmoving. In its palm, a dazzling Buddhist light rushed left and right, but never escaped the airborne mountain-sized five fingers, as vast as a continent.

How could such a sight not fill one with dread?

And yet, Lü Yang showed no sign of relaxing. The fire in his palm continued burning the soul of the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva as he quietly looked up at the sky.

Do you still have cards to play?

Once the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva was completely annihilated, Jiangxi would truly be in Lü Yang’s grasp—but clearly, the Pure Land would not stand idly by.

Perhaps there’s a Dao Lord from the Dao Court with the World-Honored One. And since I haven't touched Chengtou Soil, they likely won’t confront me directly. At most, they might stir up some variables to deal with me... But at this point, the only variable that could influence the outcome might be—

At this thought, Lü Yang suddenly looked north toward Jiangbei.

Jiangbei, Secret Realm of Law Refinement.

In the not-yet-activated secret realm, where no mountains or rivers had yet formed, and no suns or moons hung in the sky, only drifting souls remained. Among them, two stood out most clearly—

One was Ang Xiao, and the other was Mu Changsheng.

Yet at this moment, Ang Xiao was not in a good mood. His divine sense stirred, casting down a scene: Lü Yang achieving overwhelming victory.

Pure Land... worthless!

Ang Xiao cursed under his breath. The feedback from his karmic divination made him gnash his teeth—he had not expected the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva to lose so utterly!

Though merely an Outsider, he was still a True Lord—and a recipient of Pure Land’s legacy at that. Yet he’d been utterly crushed by a pseudo-Golden Throne Foundation Establishment cultivator. It was an embarrassment to all True Lords in the world! And to think he had placed his hopes in the Pure Land to eliminate Lü Yang...

But when Ang Xiao divined that Lü Yang’s pseudo-throne was Heavenly Fire, he fell into silence—replaced by an icy dread.

Could he really attain the throne of Heavenly Fire?

A second Supreme Fruit Position!

Ang Xiao knew how difficult such a position was to attain—it wasn’t just about talent.

In the cultivation world, background and influence were everything!

He, Ang Xiao, had succeeded only because he had the Holy Sect’s support and the timely advantage of a great celestial upheaval. But that monstrous dragon—what did it have?

Who was scheming behind him?

The more Ang Xiao thought, the more terrified he became. And just as his thoughts swirled chaotically, the figure of Lü Yang in the karmic vision suddenly turned around.

Since senior wishes to watch, why not come take a closer look?

Lü Yang’s laughter carried through the karmic web. Though spoken lightly, it carried a ferocious killing intent so intense that Ang Xiao could feel it even across realms.

Ang Xiao frowned deeply.

But moments later, he relaxed and laughed aloud, Very well, good junior! I know your origins now. You’re just like that shrew!

You both come from that place!

...What?

Back in Jiangxi, Lü Yang’s smile remained, but inside, he was startled and doubtful. That “shrew” must be True Lord Feixue—but what did he mean by “just like us”?

What place?

Before Lü Yang could ponder it further, a burst of Buddhist light suddenly rose from the collapsed Pure Land Great Heroic Hall he had trampled earlier.

Within the light, layer upon layer of radiant imagery appeared. Though small as mustard seeds, they contained Mount Sumeru within: the Yulei of Tianjing, the Golden City of the Imperial Capital, dragons coiling for thousands of miles, tigers poised at all four directions... Eventually, all images intertwined, melted, and converged into a flawless, multicolored brilliance.

Chengtou Soil!

Lü Yang’s pupils contracted sharply. For a moment, he thought the united will of the Pure Land had collapsed. But upon further sensing, he realized that Chengtou Soil hadn’t gone berserk.

In other words—

Someone is awakening it... intentionally?

Lü Yang’s gaze sharpened and pierced through many layers of obstruction, seeing five solemnly seated monks beneath Chengtou Soil.

Behind each monk stood a Dharma Manifestation:

World-Revealing Aspect, World-Purifying Aspect, World-Dwelling Aspect, World-Hearing Aspect, World-Observing Aspect!

The Five Dharma Aspects, return again!

Buddha Child Guangming hadn’t spoken falsely—if the World-Honored One so willed, dozens or hundreds of Dharma Aspects could be conjured with ease, not requiring even a sliver of effort.

Damn shameless!

Lü Yang couldn’t help cursing inwardly.

One failed descent of the Five Aspects was enough—yet here came another. The World-Honored One’s bottomless tactics refreshed Lü Yang’s understanding, leaving him both enraged and helpless.

Boom!

Without hesitation, Lü Yang’s eyes flashed golden. His gaze instantly burned through the re-summoned Five Aspects, conveniently harvesting another batch of their golden properties.

Yet his heart dared not relax.

The World-Honored One clearly knew Lü Yang could use that gold property to extend his pseudo-holding time, and yet still summoned the Aspects and activated Chengtou Soil—there must be a deeper purpose.

Chengtou Soil... can it change the tide?

Lü Yang was skeptical. He had practiced Chengtou Soil before, and to be honest, he didn’t believe it alone could reverse the situation.

Even with its fundamental mystery, it shouldn’t be able to one-shot me.

What is he planning?

While speculating, Lü Yang remained fully focused, ready to counter the incoming deathblow... but the result was far from what he expected.

Vaguely, a soft breeze seemed to blow through.

It was the light of Chengtou Soil. Under its glow, the entire world seemed to flatten, becoming a wrinkled, paper-like painting.

Then it twisted and transformed—

In that moment, Lü Yang finally understood the true mystery behind this Earth-aligned Supreme Fruit Position, and why the World-Honored One held such faith in it.

Its name was: Grasping Past and Present!

In that instant, bathed in the radiance of Chengtou Soil, Lü Yang suddenly realized—

A certain predetermined cause in the world had just been altered.

Jiangbei, Secret Realm of Law Refinement

Ang Xiao froze—because at that moment, a foreign memory suddenly surfaced in his mind:

Previously, I took over the body of the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva, seizing the White Wax Gold and Soil Within Sand. I thought I had completely severed ties and returned the body to the Pure Land. But in truth, because I was only a divine sense, not the true body, there were some oversights.

In other words, I didn’t fully sever the connection.

Not only that—I even “accidentally” left behind part of the powers of White Wax Gold and Soil Within Sand inside the body of the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva...

—That was the cause.

And the altered “cause” gave birth to a new “effect”:

So now, I can easily re-possess the Dragon-Serpent Coiling Shadow Bodhisattva—perhaps even borrow a portion of the powers of White Wax Gold and Soil Within Sand...

At that thought, Ang Xiao finally realized:

To alter cause and effect, to grasp past and present—when the past cause changes, a new future effect is born.

This is the fundamental mystery of Chengtou Soil!
